Mineral Effects is an ongoing project, which started on Serifos island in the summer of 2016, during my visit to Keramion ceramics workshop, in order to focus on the combinations between ceramics art and the rich on minerals land of the island. Since then, samples have been taken from Paxoi island, Olympus mountain, Santorini island, Chortiatis mountain, Pelion, Peristera, and Nafplion Peloponese. The aim is to explore the possibilities we can get from local minerals, introducing them into ceramics art as decorate effects. Except of personal experimentation, the project will continue in the form of seminars which will start in Patra, during January 2016, and will go on in Serifos island and in ‘Ceramics-Camp’ in Kavala during the summer of 2017.
