From the 10th ’till the 20th of August 2013, ‘About A Bowl’ will take place at Vouleftikon, Nafplio. Porcelain and stoneware thrown bowls of varying colours and shapes, will be on display.
Objects that are standing between functionality and art, invites to an open dialogue.
From the 17th of March ’till the 30th of April 2013 George Vavatsis, Kostas Karakitsos and Nikos Sklavenitis will exhibit their latest ceramic works in ‘Kunst im Blauen Haus’ in Franfurt.
Οι κεραμίστες Βαβάτσης Γιώργος, Καρακίτσος Κώστας και Σκλαβενίτης Νίκος εκθέτουν την τελευταία τους δουλειά στην αίθουσα ‘Kunst im Blauen Haus’, στην Φρανκφούρτη. Διάρκεια έκθεσης 17 Μαρτίου εώς 30 Απριλίου 2013.
‘Περί Τροφής Εργαλεία’, είναι ο τίτλος της έκθεσης κεραμικής των Έκτορα Μαυρίδη και Γιώργου Βαβάτση που ξεκίνησε την 6η Δεκεμβρίου 2012 και θα διαρκέσει εώς και τις 15 Ιανουαρίου 2013, στην αίθουσα τέχνης Λόλα Νικολάου. Παρουσιάζονται χρηστικά σκεύη (μπωλ, πιάτα, τσαγιέρες,κτλ) φτιαγμένα από πηλούς stoneware και πορσελάνη.
‘Food on Tools’, is the name of the ceramics exhibition of Hector Mavridis and George Vavatsis in Lola Nikolaou gallery. It began in the 6th of December 2012 and it’s going to last ’till the 15th of January 2013. Tablewares such as bowls, plates, teapots, ect, made out of stoneware clays and porcelain are on show.
‘Floral Expansion’ created for the opening of M-art Space in Aegina island on the 23rd of June 2012. It’s made out of terracotta clay, smoked in metal saggars, up to 1050C. The photos below are parts of the final piece, which will be on show until the 16th of July.
Pasta Set ‘JAR’ stoneware tableware, designed to fulfill the needs of oven cooking and serving or to be used as a single decorating Jar. It’s fired up to 1250C and completed of an oven kettle pot, six plates,a strainer, a sauce heater, a ladle and a large fork.
Thrown on the wheel and altered stoneware; fired up to 1250C, in oxidation.
